Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.
Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
James took Juju right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.
James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."
Jack Smithr - a Puppy Lux client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different animal abuse effects entity and ended the call abruptly.
